SW London CAMRA Pub of the Year 2019
The Railway, 2 Greyhound Lane, Streatham SW16 5SD is the CAMRA SW London Pub of the Year 2019.
The CAMRA South West London Pub of the Year for 2019 is the Railway, 2 Greyhound Lane, Streatham SW16 5SD.
Many congratulations to all the team at the pub.
- Railway, 2 Greyhound Lane, Streatham SW16 5SD.
- Eagle Ale House, 104 Chatham Road, Battersea SW11 6HG.
- Hand in Hand, 7 Crooked Billet, Wimbledon, SW19 4RQ.
The award is for the best pub over the previous year so the Pub of the Year 2019 is the reigning Pub of the Year throughout 2020.
The presentation of the official CAMRA winner's certificate will take place in the pub at a date to be arranged, probably in April.
The other pubs in the final are listed here in Postal district order:
- King & Co, 100 Clapham Park Road, Clapham SW4 7BZ.
- Nightingale, 97 Nightingale Lane, Balham, SW12 8NX.
- Cat's Back, 86-88 Point Pleasant, Wandsworth SW18 1NN.
All current CAMRA South West London branch members were eligible to vote.
The branch Pub of the Year is awarded a certificate and automatically goes forward to CAMRA's shortlist for Greater London Pub of the Year. The winner of that award goes on to a 'super-regional' competition and, if successful again, would be on the shortlist for CAMRA national Pub of the Year.
Voting closed at 23:59 on Sunday 9 February 2020.
