On Saturday 11th July 2009 there was a CAMRA SW London branch trip to Bowman’s Brewery in Hampshire. The brewery is situated on a farm near Droxford. See the Bowman Ales website [www.bowman-ales.com] for more details.

Martin Roberts the brewer acted as guide and a selection of his fine beers were sampled before our party moved on to Droxford for an excellent lunch.

The winning beer was Swift One, a 3.8% ABV bitter described in the Battersea Beer Festival programme as a ‘Golden bitter with strong bitterness and grapefruit aroma’.
